MGH Energy and Genvia Partner to Accelerate SOEC Electrolyzer Integration in E-Fuels Plants
[Montpellier, Béziers, 12-Mar-26] MGH Energy and Genvia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to assess the techno-economic performance of solid oxide electrolyzer (SOEC) technology developed by Genvia within MGH Energy’s e-fuels production plant projects.
As part of this collaboration, both companies will jointly conduct technical integration studies to evaluate the potential deployment of SOEC electrolyzers in future e-fuels facilities. These assessments will leverage Genvia’s simulation capabilities to model e-fuel production processes and SOEC electrolyzer integration within such processes.
Based on the results of these studies and mutual alignment on the associated outcomes, the collaboration aims to the integration of Genvia’s SOEC electrolyzers into MGH Energy’s e-fuels projects.
This partnership represents a decisive step toward scaling Genvia’s clean hydrogen production solution and accelerating the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors such as aviation and maritime transport. It also paves the way for an innovative hybrid industrial setup that merges the proven maturity of low temperature electrolysis technologies (Alkaline, Proton Exchange Membrane) with the cost-efficiency of solid oxide technology.
